With Shetab Windows Live Authentication for SharePoint, you can automatically give access to users to specified resource even before sign-up or you knowing their Live ID.
It has two steps, first you need to create a regular SharePoint group then tell the system to put the members with specified email or serial number to automatically put them to this group. So when system put them to specific group they will have access to defined section.
Instructions
- Create a regular SharePoint group in your Windows Live Authentication Profile Site.
- Assign your planned permission that you need to this group.
- Go to "LivePermissions" list in your SharePoint Windows Live Authentication Profile Site.
- Add a new item and put a Serial Number or exact email address for "Key" field. If Key field is email address you should set "IsEmail" field too.
- Enter the groups you need the user put them to it after the criteria match.
Description
If the key is email address and you set "IsEmail" field, the user whose set this email address for his profile will get become the member of specified group(s) after next sign-in. User could not enter this email address until validate it, if you turn on validation system during site configuration.
If the key is not email and it is a key such as a Serial Number you should give them a URL to your user from restricted area such as:
http://www.shetabtech.com/english/wla/Downloads/FullVersion?AccessKey=123456789
When user clicks on it, it will give required access if AccessKey is valid and not already taken by him or another user. This URL will not give him access unless it redirect to sing-in page, so If he already sign-in, and the URL open in the same browser windows, nothing may happen.
You can also give the users the Serial Number and the direct URL of LiveAccess page such as:

http://www.shetabtech.com/english/_layouts/LiveAccess.aspx?AccessKey=123456789
Note: If the email verification system is turned-on during configuration, your user should validate his/her email address by replying the automated verification email otherwise the "LivePermission" system will not put that user in specified SharePoint group.
